The book I have lists the 3130 a being made 1977-79 . It calls it CDN 3130 which I assume is Canadian and being the same as a 2840 USA. Someone in Canada can verify this. I have seen these tractors sold at auction in the south east and they have been used(well used in some cases) with new paint jobs. These auction tractors came from Europe. The ones from England have Lucas fuel filters instead of JD. JD dealers hate to have to try to cross reference parts, but of course the JD dealers are in the business of selling new tractors. I doubt if parts are that big a problem, but I have never owned one. As far as I know, the quality is the same as USA JDs. Oh, for some reason the Europeans have single outlet remote hydraulics with no down pressure. KEH
