I know may way around tractors, both gas and diesel. Recently, I was shopping for several months for a decent, used, diesel tractor. I didn't have much good luck there. I finally got annoyed at all of the worn-out machines people were trying to peddle for $8-10k, and went out and bought a new one. I had to cough up twice the price, but now I *know* the condition of everything, and nothing's been covered up to try and sell the machine. I wish you far, far better luck than I had! I think my troubles were mainly due to the nature of the Raleigh, NC area.
