Two of our three kids were born early. The total weights of all three is less than 10 lbs. 26 weeks is the magic number. Anything after that and the doctors have something to work with. In 85 we were told that rate for "failed" pregnancies was over 10%. Ignorance caused Brians (our firstborn) death. Knowledge is the cure for ignorance. Learn what you can and keep your wife focused on the big picture. Good Luck
