John, 35 - 40 HP OK. 3 point lift a must. Live PTO worth searching for. When you find one to look at have the owner fire it up and run it till it's warm. Check for leaks, strange sounds and excess smoke from the exhaust. Also be sure and have the owner hook up a fairly heavy implement to the lift and pick it up. Shut off the engine and see how long the 3 point will stay up. 1/2 hour or longer ain't too bad. Mine will stay up off the ground about 15 minutes and that's ok with me. I'm partial to the Thousand series of Fords. Do have a qualified mechanic check it out before you hand over the money if at all possible. JM2˘. Safe and Happy Tractoring. Mike M (Tx)
