I had an original 68 model G125 with factory cab. I bought it used with 1700 hrs on it in the early 70's and ran it for many years with the 391 Ford truck motor replaced with a performance built 406 Ford engine. Fuel economy was not bad for a gasoline tractor with still cheap gasoline, and power of the modified engine was more than the 4 18.4 X 38 tires could hold. I later repowered it with a 6-71 Detroit diesel engine of 238 flywheel hp and installed duals to increase traction. I ran that tractor until 86 then sold it locally. it was then owned by a couple of local farmers who ran it until the last one quit farming a couple years ago. The tractor is still running for the new owner who took it out of the area. All in all, it was a very simple and reliable tractor.
