I have a 1946 Allis model B that recently begun to run a little rough of and on. Then one day just wouldn"t fire at all. After some investigation I found the little center pin on the outer Mag cover had broken off. I assume this is the problem. My question is this. The tractor has been converted to a 12 volt system. It also has had a coil, and condensor installed. They basically drilled a hole through the side of the Mag and wired the coil and condensor to the inside of the Mag. with a key (on off switch) wired direct to the coil. I am thinking about putting it back to a straight mag with no coil. Will the mag work on a 12 volt system and is it difficult to switch it back?
