Hi Larry I live in Asutralia and our system is very similar to the Canadian and UK variety. Good basic health care paid for by all through Medicare tax. But can have very long waiting lists to utilise it unless it is emergency care then your always treated promptly. We have very expensive insurance for immediate private care too which is also subsidized by Govt. Medications are either on the public benefit sheme or they are not, if they are then are cheap if they are not they are unaffordable to most. Cheers Mitch
