If I understand you correctly, the contention you present is that the early tractor engines were DESIGNED to run a non-leaded fuel? and therefore the only problem would be that a former diet of leaded fuel will have consequently coated valves and other internal parts with deposits that will be burned off by returning to the hotter, faster burning non-leaded fuels? (That is what lead does, slows down the burn rate to reduce "ping" in high compression engines, right?). Gadget.
