Marriage is not a 50 / 50 kind of a proposition – it is an 80% thing - you do your 80% and she does her 80% and you might meet in the middle!
My wife LIKES to do things like changing the fluids on the tractor, greasing, bush hogging, as well as turning wrenches when it needs something done. She is lacking in upper body strength so sometimes I need to break something free for her if it was tightened too much. There are so many jobs that go much better when you have three or four hands working on them..
She dislikes cooking but does not mind doing the prep work and clean-up, so I take care of applying the heat.
If your wife doesn’t want to / can’t remember / does not understand the importance of / those kinds of things then it is YOUR job.
You can force someone to change but only for a little while.
