kim, i have never seen a tractor rollover. i could not say if it would keep rolling or just layover.i feel confortable with the fact that all the tractors i use have ROPS. i suppose the makers put them there because there were rollover accidents and this will save lives. you might contact your brand tractor company and see if they can give you specs to build your own ROPS, although they probably have a retrofit for your model.
