I'm building (2) myself this winter, one for the ancient backhoe (JD 400) and a MF 165. I'm looking at and copying (as best as possible) the various factory ROPS that I can find. Due to the age of the equipment, and the fact that they were never designed with ROPS in mind, I'll have to be a bit inventive with the attachments. Basically, I'll figure what the factory did and then increase everything by 20 % if I can. If you have a loader, make sure you put protection in front of the operator. Had a guy get killed here last year when he was loading a round bale with his front end loader. It came over the top and crushed him in the seat. bbott
