Soundguy is right. With the dipstick on the top of the trans, it's an early 9N. Here are some clarifying questions to help you determine just how early and/or rare it might be:
1. Is the dash and/or trans cover cast iron or cast aluminum? 2. Where is the starter button? On the top of the trans at the base of the steering column? Or up on the dash, left side? 3. Do the fenders have 1 horizontal ribs or 2? 4. Are the rear wheels 28" or 32"? 5. Is the hood made of stamped steel or cast aluminum?
If the hood is aluminum, you've hit paydirt. Only about 800 tractors got aluminum hoods and most of those didn't survive because they were rather brittle.
A starter button on the dash would indicate an early 9N. 32" wheels are more rare and so are double rib fenders.
