Crawl under it, read the tag and/or see if it's cast iron or aluminum.
Most 1980 Dodge 3/4 trucks used aluminum NP208s - but I've seen a few with the cast-iron NP205s if ordered heavy. My 1969 W200 Power Wagon has the NP205, and so does my 1992 W250 - but it's a heavy 3/4 ton with the Cummins diesel. My neighbor has a 95 heavy 3/4 ton with the Cummins and his has the aluminum NP208.
