Have an 89 Ford F350 with a 351 in it. Truck has rub great all summer until now. On a cold morning 40 or below, you really have to grind on it. The engine is firing off and on. It will eventually will start and run great for the day. If you advance the timming it will start. Have changed the harmonic balancer think the timming degree's moved. Tried that and re timmed it to specs and there no diffrence. Put a fuel pressure gage on it and everything is in spec. Injectors are pulsing and working properly. Changed that little module on the distributor and still no luck. Only thing i can think off is there atimming asdvance in the distibutor that could be screwed up??? Or am I missing something else.

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
