Well, now I asked about that a while back. He's got a Bolens 244 with a tag that crosses it to an Iseki 2220F, but the engine model info is stamped on an Isuzu tag. And, while it's painted and decaled for Bolens, there is an Iseki decal on each side.
I'll spare you the details of what I went through trying to find him a water pump this past summer, but learned along the way that any number of companies put their name on that basic tractor over a span of years.
You sold 'em and I'm not averse at all to being corrected, but the understanding I got from the whole experience was that Iseki was a make of tractor, and that the engine, at least in this case was an Isuzu, about like a Yanmar in a Deere.
