Yep, yep. If you are going to confront those guys, having an arm yourself for your protection is not a bad idea, in my opinion. Them guys can get crazy. Real crazy. When a guy tells you on your property that he is hunting his property and knows darn well it aint his property, at the same time that you know it aint his property, and he wants to argue it and get loud about it, he's liable to get stupid. I've confronted those guys, stearnly and made sure that I was back far enough to have to make a move if I had to, and gave them that sense as well. I didn't threaten them, but they got the picture and knew darn well they weren't hunting their property, so don't even try that one, because thats when the reasoning ends. When out on the property this time of the year, I always carry in the truck or on the tractor. Them guys can get stupid, and I work with one of them type of guys. He's been popped twice by the game warden and brags about still doing it as though he's doing nothing wrong. Third time caught and he's done hunting in the state, if someone doesn't take care of him first. No poacher has ever pointed a gun at me, but I know of those whom have been pointed at by poachers, and there's always a first time. Them guys can get real crazy real fast, and so far I've been lucky to only argue them gone. I had one pair, about 18ish leave peacefully after losing their BS arguement after shooting at a deer in my general direction on my property, then come back with one of their fathers, and he wanted to argue their licenses allowing them to hunt on my property. He lost too.
