I have not had a bad one yet that I haven"t straighted out, but my great grandpa had one that he traded in after a few months. It was a 1920 something Fordson. They said they had to work on it more hours than they ran it. He got a IH 10-20 and then a F-20 when they came out and the F-20 was still running on the farm till 1966 when he sold it. He also had a couple Ms and a 300 and didn"t have too much trouble with them outside of the usual wear.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
