I have accidentally become a Massey Ferguson Snowmobile collector. I have 6 now and a grainary full of parts. I have been asked to look at old snowmobiles in people's barns and make offers. To be honest an old snowmobile that has been sitting for years just isn't worth a whole lot. The tracks crack, the carbs are gummed and need rebuilt, often points are corroded, and coils go dead from sitting in damp storage. Gas in tanks has soured, plastic lines dry out and crack and break. Tanks must be removed, drained and cleaned. Parts are most often obsolete. It can take several days of work and diagnostics to get one running. Sometimes you get one running by robbing parts from another..and when you are all done you still have an old snowmobile. The $200 offer is not out of line. I bought one at an auction for $25, have had two given to me. Where I live there are a lot of old snowmobiles sitting in barns. I've seen running snowmobiles sell for $75...I hope this gives you an idea, not trying to devalue what you have but if you advertised the machine there may be no takers.
