One of my customer's owns a Maytag store..I traded some labor for our front loader washer dryer..I haven't had but 1 problem in over ten years..Called him , he came out and had it fixed in a jiffy...There is NO reason that a washer "has to go to the shop"..Sounds like you need to find another dealer..If I can do engines , transmissions , steering clutches out in the field , there's no reason a washer can't be fixed in someones home..The only thing my wife doesn't like about them is the water level is too low for my nasty , greasy clothes..She has to add a good bit of water to make it clean my "Grubbies"..
