I know its tempting but I'd suggest not sending them that letter. If it happens to irritate the person who gets it they may just decide to make you their 'collection example'. I had a similar thing happen with then a few years ago. They hit me up for some extra when I had them take their tank. Sent them a nice letter back which stated very clearly that 1. disputing the charge (copied the wording off the dispute section of a credit card bill) 2. I wanted to see where I had signed any agreement, receipt, or contract that showed I owed them the money (I'd never signed anything, tank was there when I bought the house and was a carry over from some other company they bought). 3. Why they hadnt paid me back for the gas that was in the tank when they came and got it. 4. If they really wanted to sue me over ever how much it was (50 bucks I think) then this was the attorney's name and address who I normally used and to please serve him with the papers when they got ready to litigate it out. Never heard a word back from them.
