Yup. My mom's jeep has the factory Wranglers on it yet but they don't impress me.
My dad's Tacoma came with Firestones on it and he replaced them a couple years ago. Not because they were running low on tread, but because they just had poor overall traction.
The only reason I went with the Sport King's on my truck when I had them vs. the Coopers, was 1st money and 2nd the shop wanted to sell me the tires I didn't want. I wanted something better for mud (cooper something or other), but they insisted on selling me the Continental highway tire, because I only had a 2wd pickup and I was a teenager.
I stuck to my guns and found a place that would sell me what I wanted.
I have since replaced them with 2 mis-matched pairs I got cheap (again, money) from my last boss. They were new, but were the spare tires off trucks in a junk yard so they're older and a little weather checked.
