Where do I start!? First I guess I agree with you on the Ford mower. Has one of them too and it takes two men and a strong boy to mount that sucker on the tractor. Might be easier if I actually put it on the N Ford instead of the newer one that doesn't scare me so bad. Semi-mounts? Well, they are a menace when off the tractor. You pretty much have to leave on the ground or they will fall just as you are walking by...usually with a pivot motion that brings the guards swinging toward you. Definitely difficult to mount on the tractor AND most of them have those durn wood pitmans that are gettin harder to find and shatter everytime the mower gets a little shimmy. Been cutting hay with them for a while now and I am ready to ship them. That said, when they work they work very well...just high maintenance.
