We are planning a trip to drive several chamberlain champion tractors across the USA. Our plan is to obtain covered wagons as used by the early settlers, but converted to pneumatic tyres, and hopefully follow some of the original wagon routes in our travel across from the East to the West coast. The time frame would be in the summer /autumn of 2009 for 3 months. We are seeking some help however in matters such as the requirements to have the tractors licensed to travel on the various road systems. Advise on the most practical route to take , where and when we could participate in local tractor shows and a host of otherfactors that need to be considered. Ifanyone can offer some assistance it would be very much appreciated. During August /September 2007 we drove a single chamberlain tractor around Australia in 38 days, a distance of 15,000 klms. If of interest, you can follow the journey on the websiteas shown below. Loking forward to hearing from any interested parties . Regards Ron. www.tailendcharliethetractor.org
