I think that truck you are talking about is my dads. it is a 94 dodge 2500 cummins, over a million miles, never had the head off or the injectors changed. Changes the oil every 5 to 7000 miles. He still drives it to the VFW when he is not pulling trailers. He has all kind of stories about driving from California to Ohio with no clutch, or 3rd and 4th gear. Said he has only hit 8 or 9 deer in his driving career.
After he got a million on the truck, He went and bought a different one, and it only had 550000 miles on it before the transmission quit, so he was not real happy. A lot of it has to do with the driver. I never saw him gun the engine, and he is never agressive on the road. He tells everybody his blood pressure is lowest while driving the truck. This country could use a lot more drivers like him.
I have pictures of the odometer, and the truck but dont know how to post them.
