In 76' I bought a new dodge Power Wagon club cab, 400ci, lwb, 4wd and paid $6100 with T&L
In 79' I bought a new T-bird all the goodies, $7300 with T&L
Gas was $.75/gal average.
In 02', I bought a new F350 DRW, CC, PSD, 6spd, $34289 with T&L. It about killed me to write that check.
Fuel was $1.55/gal
In 74' I bought our first home, $231/PITI/mth, $23000. Sold it one year latter for $53k and bought 3 more houses and sold 2 of them before the big price fall in 78'.
I bought 3.3a for $5800 in 88'. My property tax evaluation in 2006 was $12.5k. In 2007 it was $25k. In 2008 it'll be $77k.
When I first stated driving in 65', gas $0.19/gal.
Prime farm land here is $35k/a as there building homes just as fast as it can be bought as the farm land is with-in 45miles of S.Phoenix with indian land inbetween. Of course our local electrical utility is the one buying the land and building the homes while there raising our utility rates.
Farm land in 89' was $10k/a in large parcels.
About the only figure that was totaly out of line was the 02 F350 pick-up had increased 525% where wages had only increased 340% and fuel costs.
