Real estate, esp residential, has real problems in a lot of places; those areas that escaped the wild ride up are generally doing better, but not much. Numerous RE blogs and sites come up under Googling housing decline, housing crash, housing problems, and the same headings for mortgages, as well as auto loans and credit cards.
