I have a pellet stove, American Harvest. I spent $2200 on the stove and installed it myself. I will save about $700 or more on Propane usage this year. I will go through about 2 tons of pellets. Pellets are about $220/ton. My stove will burn shelled feed corn too. My Propane is about $1.70/gallon now. I will save more money next winter as I will have the wife turn the thermostat down to 60 in the AM instead of 65. I dont run the pellet stove in the daytime when I am at work.
