My Ram [ 5.2 V-8 ] got a consistant 8 to 10 mpg driving like the old fart that I am..I once got 11 mpg[ I coasted down Big Savage with the key off}..Bought my new Silverado and right out of the box it got 20 mpg..Now it's down to 17..My next one will be a Tacoma , 4 cyl. , stick..I have a Ford F-600 that gets around 4-5 mpg with aux, trans and 22.5 tall rubber on it..I can't wait to get it out of winter storage and fill 'er up..

I pulled the head, and soaked the stuck valves with mystery oil overnight, re-installed the head, and bingo, the compression returned.
