Problem with the old USA is that we have had it very good for about 60 years. That is not a bad thing. We were like a basketball team where the other team forefitted the game every time. We always won and we haven't had to try very hard. Even the worst job in this country can buy you a better life than almost anywhere else on the planet. Even a crappy job in our eyes could buy a car, get some cheap gas, food, and a place to live. Now that we have some worldwide competition for livelyhood and resources the game is not as easy to win anymore. Other teams are playing and they are hungry and ambitous and are beating us, plain and simple. We are overindulged and overweight in this country and cant work ourselves out of a wet paper sack anymore. If look in any asian or mexican factory the people are all dutifully doing their jobs very focused. Walk through american factories and people are leaning around, talking, talking, talking. Management out having lunches, people wasting the companies money, lots of overweight incompatent workers. Guys walking around hounding the female co-workers. That is what america is turning into. A big overweight, overpaid joke. These other countries are hungry, lean and focused to kick our butts. Striking truckers will accomplish nothing. High prices will weed out the people who are operating on a slim margin and the bigger companies that can do it will pick up the slack. That is the way it is and always has been. Just like the Wal-Mart putting the mom and pops out of business. Better work for Wal-Mart. That is where mom and pop end up working. Our other option is to go to any other country and live in a dirt hut eating mud cookies!

Today's Featured Article - 12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
