I once took a gas tank off an A JD. It was pretty nasty inside. I used about 2 lbs. of 22 bullit casings. I jacked up my JD 40, strapped the gas tank to the wheel and tumbled it for about an hour. It worked really well. Then I took it to a car wash and washed it out, took it home and let the sun finish drying it. You could probably use other media such as small gravel. If you try this, be sure to turn it slow...........rw
