Jay, over in forums in the left tool bar, you will also find a Farmall Board. Please feel free to use it. You can be negative or positive ground. You can get your current generator rebuilt to a 12 volt and you can get 12 volt Delco voltage regulators, either stand alone or mounted on top of your generator depending on how you are currently settup. Don't worry about the starter. It will spin quicker. Besides the battery, light bulbs, generator and voltage regulator, you will need to stick a resistor in the coil line to drop the voltage back down to around 6 for the coil. NAPA sells them.
