I got crossways with Big Tex when I was shopping for a horse trailer. They priced a 4 horse slant, with 8 ft dressing room - no amenities, what we call a "beer can" at $44,000. I bought a Mustang Elite, 3 horse slant, 4ft dressing room, very good quality, 100% aluminum trailer for $16,400. I don't think they wanted my business since I showed up in my work clothes. I could have purchased a 3 horse slant Elite with living quarters for $23,000 so don't know where they came up with the $44,000 for a stripped down trailer. I've never been back.
