ok.. upon further review, it appears that the boom assembly must be removed from the backhoe frame to rebuild the rotary cylinder. I took the cap on the top up to see, and that was in deed the bearing holder. It appears that the rotary cylinder shaft is splined up into the cap through the bearing. Is there a trick to this, or do i just need to park it under a tree and take off the boom?
