Here in South central Wisconsin, the crummy weather has been a bit of a blessing in disguise for me since I'm still getting the planter set up for corn. The springs have just started to stop flowing so if we get only limited rain the next few days, I might be able to make a go of it. It feels more like April 20th, not May 9th!
There was an interesting article in Agri-View last week that showed that given all the other factors that can occur during any given year, it's a pig and a poke whether planting May 1st or May 15th really helps yield.
