Hey rick, if there's pressure on the lines from the implement (cylinder is holding something up, etc.) it won't go together. So make sure you got your working clothes on, you're in for an oil shower. You have to release the pressure on those lines before you can hook up, and the only quick way I know of is to hold the hose with both hands and slam that hydraulic fitting hard against the steel tongue on the implement. Oil sprays everywhere, makes a big mess. You gotta do that about 5 times before you can push that ball in the fitting with your finger. When you can do that, you can plug your hydraulic hoses in.
