Listening to respectedable sensible economic analyst I have a feeling that things are going to get real bad real soon. I think the housing /credit/spending crisis is gonna look like an allowance withdrawel compared to what fuel and food costs are gonna be. I"m not with them anymore, but ferrel gas has eliminated the prepay program. Gas demand is gonna increase globally by leapes and bounds, our dollar is worth less and less. Our government can do little if anything to increase overseas production. Refineries supposibly are running at capacity, and we cant, or wont increase drilling options within our territories. Livestock are being sent to slaughter because of high feed prices, financial issues and the lot, which will probably cause a shortage of supply sometime in the future. Good for those that"ll have em, bad for everyone else in consumer world. College tuition is out of hand. We have a large percentage( not all of you), of young people that have been raised, "gotta have it.... NOW" style. As a society we are very short tempered, greedy, and ignorant. These traits are gonna make for very poor interaction with eachother as things get real, real tough, which I now feel is eminant. Stimulus package, PEW! Most will go to the oil companies or overseas products. Some will use it to pay off medical bills or loans, and even fewer will put it away for saving. I do not think it will boost the economy, just work it"s way back to the pockets of whomever borrowed it, and the folks that own stock in the areas I previously mentioned. I am sitting OK fiancially(so far)but I see and know so many that are really taking it to the knees. These are not folks that were foolish, they are elderly people as well. Many who fought, scraped, did with out, suffered, endured and managed to survive through really , really hard times in the previous 70 years. There are not even jobs out there for the young people that want to work according to the news. What are we gonna do. Most people these days couldnt mentally be able to deal with life like it was for the folks that are now in their 60"s.70"s,80"s and 90"s. What a fine state of our country we are looking at as we head into Memorial Day. Well, fertlizers coming gotta work it in. Later. Darn I thought venting would make me feel better.

Today's Featured Article - A Cautionary Tale - by Ian Minshull. In the early 1950s my father bought an Allis Chalmers B and I used it for all the row crop work with the mangolds and potatoes, rolling and the haymaking on our farm. The farm and the Allis were sold and I have spent a lifetime working on farms throughout the country. I promised myself that one day I would own an Allis. That time event
