No one has stolen anything from me, sir. I am a victim of nothing. And no one manipulates my thoughts. You can believe as you wish, and you can blame others for your plight, whatever you may consider that to be.

There always have been and always will be rich and poor. There are and always have been those, like you, who seem to think a grand consipiracy has somehow kept them down, from achieving more. But I suspect you know in your heart that is not the truth. We all have freewill. You made choices in your life that brought you to where you are, just like I and everyone else.

Your comment that there is no longer good and bad, just evil, belies your cynical view of the world. But I could not disagree with you more. Your words regarding the draft and Vietnam are wrongheaded. You can believe what you want about the military-industrial complex, but I believe we were stopping the spread of communism. The truth of the matter is that we had that war won, twice, and anti-American forces, supported by rubes like you, caused us to lose it. To quit. And 2 million people died in the Killing Fields because of it. A recent book written by a leading general for the North admits just that. But this is not about Vietnam.

The only alternative to our free market system is socialism, communism and tyranny. And while our system is not yet perfect, I'll choose it over those options everytime.

Again, it's sad that there are so many with your warped view of our country, our leaders, and our way of life.

I rely on no one to take care of or provide for me and mine. Not the government, not corporations, no one. We, my family and our friends, see to our own happiness and fulfillment. If you are looking to others to make your world right, you'll leave this world just as you are today, unhappy and bitter. I hope that will not be the case.

Today's Featured Article - Talk of the Town: How to Remove a Broken Bolt - by Staff. Another neat discussion from the Tractor Talk Discussion Forum. The discussion started out with the following post: "I have an aluminum steering gear housing with a bolt broken off in it. The bolt is about a 3/8" x 1 1/2" bolt. I've already drilled the center of the bolt out with about 7/64" drill bit the entire length of the bolt. Only one end of the bolt is visible. I tried to use an easy out but it wasn't budging and I didn't want t ... [Read Article]
