I had a similar problem a few years ago ... I never did solve it as like you I had spark and like you I pulled the plug to see. I also had gas (I had the fuel shut off valve closed) let's see spark and gas and ... Boom. Want to see my burn scars/skin grafts? NEVER check the spark by pulling a plug. Buy a spark checker. The lack of this simple tool cost me a whole lot of pain and expense. Don't let it happen to you

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
