2 years ago I went to an auction looking for a big round baler, I was tired of paying for custom baling and waiting for the baler to show up with a storm on the way, found an old Gehl 1500 that showed some wear and abuse but stood around all day and bought it for $350.00 . I figured at that price I didn't have much to lose. Spent a day repairing some belts and getting them all the right length, half the summer learning how to make a decent bale with the old girl and make about 250 bales, some not so pretty but the cows didn't spit them back. Well this is her third year and I figure it's paid for itself many times over. Just goes to show with a little tlc a guy can get by pretty cheap.
