Do you know how much interest is collected daily on 4 billion dollars? Google for a compound interst calculator, you'll be quite surprised.
I'm sure it doesn't matter to you. You are mad and nothing will change your mind. And you have a personal interest as your father was involved in building it. I'm sorry you feel that way. But the toll road is a single issue. And do you really think they would have ever removed the tolls? Name one other toll road, or toll bridge, anywhere in the country where that has happened. I drive for a living and HATE tolls, I paid over $2,000 in tolls last year. I wish there were none. So I have a somewhat personal interest in this too, but I'm not complaining about it, just the way it is.
Let me know if those workers go on strike. And please let me know how this impacts you in the future, how it is different for you than if the state continued to run it.
