I've done it now. I was just casually looking around and ended up buying a truck. It was on consignment at a used equipment dealer. The price seemed good and I could really use a truck. It's a 1995 GMC Top Kick with a fuel injected 366 and a 5 & 2 trans. It was used by a feed outfit until they went to a tandem truck. The only problem seems to be that the steel grain box is rusting out. I need to make it smaller for hauling clay and other heavier materials anyway including a water tank. The speedo shows less than 200,000kms. The front tires are like new Bridgestone radials and the rear tires are probably about 50% or better radials. Cab and body is in excellent shape but the windshield is cracked. I think it's a one owner truck but not positive. It does look like someone took care of it. I paid $5500 for it because anything with a gravel box was a lot more money and usually a lot more abused. It has a 2 cylinder hoist that doesn't appear to creep down. The owners manual is still in the glove box! Can you truck guys tell me if there's anything I need to be concerned about with this truck? It has an 11,000 lb. front and 19,000 lb. rear axle with hydraulic brakes. The truck will mostly if not always be used just on my land without a lot of road travel. Any input is appreciated. Thanks. Dave

The farm and the Allis were sold and I have spent a lifetime working on farms throughout the country. I promised myself that one day I would own an Allis. That time event
