Which Kubota do you have? I have both a 1978 L225 (25 hp) and a 1964 Ford 4000 4 cyl (basically an 861 with different sheetmetal and stickers) and there is no comparison. The kubota is good for playing in my garden, but when it comes time to plow, disc, brush-hog, etc. the Ford comes out. If I had to choose one, the Rice Burner would be gone. Not to mention the Japanese REALLY RAPING us on parts for the 'Botas.

I agree, if you really need some work done, sell the 'bota to a yuppie who needs a lawnmower on steroids and get the Ford.
