Ford v.s Kubota

Last spring I moved up from the city to a hobby farm in the country.I used to live on a farm so Im not completely dumb.When I moved up I got good friends with my neibor and he has a 861 ford.Well he did not want to sell it then.All the people from the city that moved here also where telling me a kubota was the only tractor to have.So I went out and spent big money and got a 40 hp one.Now I dont know if it was such a good choice.My neibor sold me some of his machinery.A ford 4 row corn planter,Ford baler,NH hay mower,NH hay Rake,NH hay crimper,Dearborn 2 bt plow,dearborn 6ft disk,dearborn 2 row culivator,dearborn Corn picker.Well last summer I learned how frusterating farming was.I could barely seem too pull the plow and the disk was not much better but the corn planter I barely pulled.Then when It came haying time I think I seen the true kubota fate The hay mower worked fine but I could not run the crimper so I had to go get the 861 which ran It perfactly.The hayrake was fine of course but I could not run the baler while pulling a wagon so I found my self borrowing the ford again.Then When corn picking time came I should not have even bothered hooking the kubota on the picker but I did and In five min I was driving the ford In driveway.Now My neibor says he wants too sell the ford for $4000 It comes with a 3bt plow snow blade and A freeman manure (ag loader).I think thats what I should do is buy it and get rid of the kubota.But people say Im stepping down in the tractor world.I dont know much about the ford 861 so id like to know more And Id like to if its a good idea???
