Hmm, isn't California bankrupt too? Seems I've heard that you people out there are asking the federal government, i.e. the rest of the country, meaning those of us who run our states responsibly and actually have a surplus, to give you our money?
Why does California need our money? You people are so progressive and modern, and enlightened. Why can't you run your state without needing our money? You have so many natural resources, and the most tourism dollars of any state. More millionaires than any other state. But for some reason you still spend more than you take in. How can that be? How irresponsible are your state's spending practices? How is it that we, ignorant red necks in flyover country, now need to bail you people out? We don't have anywhere near the vast economic base that you people have, and yet, somehow we manage to live within our means. What does that say about you? That you must come begging to us for our money.
So now it's not just your fellow Californians that pay your pension, now you're asking me and my family to pay for your benefits? Pathetic. And it doesn't bother you one bit, does it? Just so long as you get yours. You people now have to drag us down with you.
