Saw an interesting tractor this weekend and was wondering what it might be. It was parked in the weeds next to the driveway and the owner wasn't home so I couldn't get any info. It was smaller than a Gibson A. It had a small, what appeared to be a Briggs and Stratton engine mounted on the front fo the frame, had two large, lugged rubber tires behind that, and the drive shaft, chain or pulley between them to a gearbox I believe, but I couldn't really see it. The steering system had a steering wheel that was parallel to the ground and the shaft running straigt down. The shaft of the steering wheel had a sprocket gear with a chain that connected to another shaft and sprocket gear that turned the wheels. It sort of looked home made, but I don't think it was. Is this some sort of Gibson model? I am not familiar with these small tractors. Is there a site I can find some photos? Any info would be great. I left a note for the owner to phone me. I would interested in restoring it, however my wife sort of just rolled her eyes when I mentioned it. ........................
