there is a guy i know has a farmall 460 that he would be willing to sell for $500. engine is likely siezed because he said it backfired and ranbackwards. now it won"t turn over even if you pull it...which he did. Also the T/A is out, clutch is getting bad and the brakes are shot it has good rubber all the way around, is a gas and has an IH 2000 loader. would i be a complete idiot to buy it and fix it? and i considered putting a diesel in it. would it be a bad idea to put a diesel in it...maybe even a german diesel out of an 06 series? i know those dang 6 cylinder gasers like the fuel just wonder what all your guys" opinions on it are. what do you think i should do? it will obviously be a project tractor thanks much M Puller in WI
