Hydraulic oil filters

I have a MF2135 with a MF99 front end loader. The loader is opperated off a front mount pump. The existing setup has no filters and the fill cap is a pipe cap with a small hole to allow it to breath. The oil is looking pretty dirty. I want to clean the system, replace the hydraulic oil with clean stuff and install filters on the reservoir and the fill cap. Fill cap? A "no-brainer" (buy a replacement cap with a filter) but there are a few models of return line filters and I'm not sure which one I need. I plan to buy from Northern Hydraulic Equipment. There appears to be only one large (1.5"?) hose to the bottom of my reservoir. It does look like there is a tank screen to trap large debris. I assume fluid flows both directions in that large line. Another question - What solvent should I use to clean out the tank debris? If I use diesel, would I have to dry out the tank prior to refilling it with hyd. oil?

12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
