Don't know if 40 hp is enough for a 10 foot pull type or not! It may handle 10 foot cuts on light to average pasture growth with no problem! If and when you get into heavier growth all you have to do is move over a little and cut 8 foot, 6 foot or whatever it takes for the tractor to run properly. Can you find one to borrow or rent for a week before you purchase! This might help you decide! By all means pull a 10 footer if you can, just don't over load your tractor! Phil in MS
