I have to agree with you in triplicate. They now have such a monopoly that they make it impossible for the guy that has something to sell to make any money.
If you do not have a Paypal account or another form of electronic payment acceptance, you cannot even list an item. So that means that if you list an item and accept paypal, you pay a listing fee, a commission and then you surrender part of your payment to paypal. They get you coming and going. Now..this might be OK to the guy that sells 100 items a day (power sellers) but the guy trying to clear out his garage is going to pay through the nose (or at least take 15-20 percent less). This is robbery.
eBay used to be a place that was great to buy and sell but it now is geared to those power sellers that sell schlock. I have found things there that I may have looked a lifetime and never found. not anymore, the guys with things they don't need are discouraged by the ebay policies. THIS SUX. Where or what other sites are out there now more friendly to the small guy? There are things that come up every day I need or think I need but they are not on ebay like they might have been 2-5 years ago.
