I have a chance to get a Bobcat skidsteer with a Wisconsin motor in it. The problem that shut it down was serious rod knock, a year or so after a welded up crank was installed. The guy that owns it wants $1500 for it with a backhoe attachment included. Problem is it has sat for 5 years since the rod problem so who knows what else is wrong.. Is the Bobcat crank a special one? The fan end looks normal, but the other end has the variable speed pulley on it, so I can't measure the diameter.I was hoping to find a complete used motor to install instead of rebuilding this one. I currently have a 440 series Onan powered Bobcat that is a real useful machine, but not too powerful. I also have variable speed pulley leaks on that one. Is there a kit to eliminate the variable speed? Thanks for the help!
